2018 Manawatu Championships - 17th July 2018
Well another year and another round for the Manawatu Champs. Much quieter for Karatedo Shitokai this year but still represented. This year it got even bigger with more clubs traveling to Palmerston North and a healthy 155 competing.

2017 Manawatu Championships - 2nd July 2017

Palmerston North participated in the local Manawatu Champs, this being the 25th year that Gregor has run this event in the Manawatu. This local
event is well represented by the four Okinawa karate styles in the region, as well as
many other clubs, local and visiting. This year, there was just over
150 competitors with many 1st time students.

2017 Auckland Classic - Sunday 12 March 2017
Karatedo Shitokai sent a team of 10 to the Auckland Classic
It was a round robin event, a first and l think it went well. It was well run by Karate Auckland and our team went very well,we should all be proud of them.
Altogether, we won 8 Gold, 8 Silver, 3 Bronze and finished fourth on medal table out of 16 clubs.

2017 Sugihara Cup - Auckland - 25th, 26th February 2017
Over the weekend Amber Rose competed in the Sugihara Cup.
A tournament run by Fushin Ryu karate, it is an International event with overseas competitors.
Amber got fourth in Kata that she had only recently learnt, so an extremely good effort.
In Kumite she got Silver, losing to an Australian girl in the final. Brilliant result ,well done Amber the club is very proud of you.

2016 Shitokai New Zealand DAN Grading - Saturday 3rd December 2016
The most anticipated calendar event of the year. This year we had eight students who had been training all year for this day. It is a long tough day but well worth it in the end.
This year we had Dean, Holly and Sophie Weber, Elliot Jones, Joshua Kenyon, Alyssa Hendrikse, Tyla Redfern and Bruno Marotta all grading.

2016 Auckland Primary and Intermediate School Championships - 13th November 2016
It was the last tournament of the year and we took 8 competitors. Our team brought home 9 medals, 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze, a good day.
Everyone performed well on the day and our club can be proud of all of them. London-Rose and Amber continue to dominate the fighting, their final once again going to Referees decision.
