2015 Shitokai New Zealand DAN Grading - Saturday 7th December 2015
 

   
This year DAN grading’s, held in Whangarei Honbu on the 7th November 2015 was touched with both joy and remembrance, this being the first DAN grading since the passing of Sensei Bob Dalton earlier this year and also being the largest grading so far in Karatedo Shitokai history. It was also with pleasure that Sensei Bob wife, Auretta Dalton attended the certificate ceremony.

 2015 Auckland Open 18 August 2015 / Sugihara Cup 22nd August 2015
 

   
It’s been a very busy couple of weeks for Karatedo Shitokai New Zealand.

It started with the Auckland Open on the 16th August.  Both Matthew Baird and Yvette Hendrikse competed in kata.  Matthew had a tough draw with a visiting Japanese team competing, but it’s nice to see Matthew back competing.

 2015 New Zealand Nationals and Secondary School Championships 11th July 2015
 

   
The 2015 New Zealand Nationals had around 150 competitors this year and Karate Do Shitokai had three of their members (Nicky Roberts, Evette and Olivier) competing in kata divisions.

2015 Auckland and Secondary Schools Champs - Sunday 14th June 2015 
 

   
On Sunday 14th June a small team from Shitokai New Zealandi attended the Auckland Champs and the Auckland and Northland Secondary Schools.

2015 Northland Open - Sunday 10th May 2015
 

 A very well run tournament put on by Karate Auckland, a huge thank you must go to Sensei Murray Simpson for bringing the tournament to Northland, this allowed many of our students the chance to compete at home in front of a home crowd. 2015 Hamilton Open - Sunday 29th March 2015


  
The tournament year for karatedo Shitokai started with the Hamilton Open. After Sensei Bobs death it was  hard to get back into training and the students did very well under difficult circumstances, especially for Yvette who was one of Bob’s main students.
