Founded in 1966 by Sensei Bob Dalton. New Zealand Representative for WSKF and APSKF

Sensei Dave Nuku, 4th DAN

Palmerston North Shitokai Club

1979 - Sensei Dave Nuku began his Martial Arts career in 1979 with TaeKwonDo under the tuition of Norman Ng. At that time a lot of cross training was mixed in and being TaeKwonDo, Dave specialised in kicking techniques.

Sensei Dave training varied over the years, however began formally training in Seito Shitoryu Karate in 2004 under Sensei Steve Elers 5th DAN along with his son Kieran Nuku.

2007 - Awarded Shodan (1st DAN), by Tsukasa Mabuni, 3rd Generation Grand Master Soke of Shito Ryu
Karate Do Association of Japan and the grand daughter of Kenzo Mabuni 2nd Generation Grand Master. Kenwa Mabuni was the founder of Seito Shitoryu Karatedo.

2008 - Joined Karatedo Shitokai New Zealand organisation under the tuition of Sensei Bob Dalton, which follows the teachings of Shitokai Karate Kenei Mabuni, 2nd Generation Grand Master Kenei Mabuni who succeeded his father Kenwa Mabuni, the founder of Seito Shitoryu Karatedo.

2009 - Awarded Nidan (2nd DAN) by Sensei Bob Dalton 7th DAN

2011 - Awarded Sandan (3rd DAN) by Sensei Bob Dalton 7th DAN

2011 - At the request of Sensei Bob, we opened Karatedo Shitokai New Zealand Karate club in Palmerston North.

2013 - Awarded Yondan (4th DAN) by Sensei Bob Dalton 7th DAN
         Competed in the 7th WSKF Shitoryu World Championships held in Japan, 2013

Karatedo Shitokai New Zealand (Palmerston North) is a small Club with assistant instructor Kieran Nuku (2nd DAN) and Ann (1st DAN).

Karatedo Shitokai New Zealand closely follow the teachings of Sensei Bob Dalton 8th DAN
