Welcome to 2012. Now well into the New Year, with many back at work and the lucky ones still on holiday break. Training is due to start for those wanting to make the New Zealand teams with training camps begining Jan 28th for Shitokai New Zealand members. For others, we still have a couple of weeks before the hard slog of getting back into karate fitness.

2011 DAN Gradings
The Karatedo Shitokai December gradings were held again in Whangarei on 17th December. This year, as well as the DAN gradings, there were many students grading for high Kyu levels, including five for 1st Kyu and eight for 2nd Kyu.
